If you use the kayaks please make sure that everything used is put back where and how it was found, including all accessories. WE DO NOT PROVIDE LIFE JACKETS. (The kayaks are used on a first come-first serve basis)

Do your prices fluctuate depending on the season?

Since the cottages at Bass Point are not completely winterized, the listed rates are fixed for the entire season of operation; May 31-November 1. We do, however, offer last-minute discounted stay packages. These last-minute offerings are listed on the Bass Point homepage during the summer months.

Do you have a minimum length of stay at your properties?

Yes. June, July & August there is a 1-week minimum stay. May, September & October there is a 2-night minimum stay.

Are any of your properties appropriate for large groups?

Yes, most of our cottages present the perfect setting for large gatherings such as family reunions and corporate get-togethers. We will be happy to assist you in finding the cottage that best meets your needs in terms of water/beach access, sleeping arrangements, parking, etc. Since Bass Point is separated by the point into two sections; renters often times elect to rent one entire section. Each side has the capacity to house between 10-20 people depending on the makeup of your party.

Are your rental prices determined by the number of people staying at a property? Are there limits to the number of people that can stay at a particular property?

The prices at Bass Point, as posted on our website, reflect the fee for the entire cottage and not per person. Unless noted otherwise, each home has a maximum number of guests allowed based on 2 people per bedroom. For each cottage, we do charge a fee beyond a fixed amount of people. We calculate the cost of each cottage based on that fixed amount of people; any additional people need to be accounted for in the price we charge.

Are there tax and service charges for your properties?

We do charge the mandated state of Maine renter’s tax (9%). We factor the tax into your invoice for easy payment. Other then the renter’s tax, the price you see on the website is the price you pay.

Do you require a Security Deposit?

We require a $250.00 (non-refundable) holding deposit prior to a reservation being finalized. The remaining contract value can be paid upon your arrival at Bass Point.

What is your policy on gratuity?

Leaving a gratuity for the staff at your destination is at the guest’s discretion and should be matched with the level of service received. Cleaning, trash removal, and facility maintenance fees are all built into the price you see on the website. We feel very strongly that our tenants should enjoy Bass Point in a stress-free environment, and we work hard to guarantee this.

Are food costs included in the rental fee?

We do not provide any food or spices in the cottages. Our cleaning staff is advised to throw all food away as soon as a tenant’s stay is over. We provide precise directions to the nearest supermarket in each cottage.
